Tiger Woods (copyright Golf Digest)Even the best player in the world can only make progress one day at a time… although I think that perhaps, just maybe, he is way more committed to this kind of progress than most.

Just the same, it’s nice to hear that he clearly recognizes that this forward-thinking, no setbacks attitude applies to his life as well as to his golf.

This quote is from page 82 of the January 2008, Golf Digest. Tiger’s year in 2007 is the cover story. According to the article, he was speaking at a small corporate golf event to about 24 people:

“The greatest thing about tomorrow is, I will be better than I am today. And that’s how I look at my life. I will be better as a golfer, I will be better as a person, I will be better as a father, I will be better as a husband, I will be better as a friend. That’s the beauty of tomorrow. There is no such thing as a setback. The lessons I learn today I will apply tomorrow, and I will be better.”

Well said, maestro! 😉
