Reflection Bay #7After yesterday’s Lake Las Vegas experience, today was simply one long fun ride, but with fewer highlights.

Reflection Bay was a more classic resort course. Also, beautiful and worthy. A bit more bail out room graciously provided by Mr. Nicklaus, usually on the right, etc. Lovely just the same with some exquisite water holes along the lake and graciously curving fairways, more waterfalls than The Falls, and nice—if slightly less spectacular—views.

However, my game was not in the same groove. I played with a nice couple from Minnesota and a gentleman from Japan (I think). I found out that the hotel package includes unlimited play each day, so even with the short days at this time of year, we got in 27 holes. A rare treat. As the folks from Minnesota said, “Better than shoveling snow.” In fact, it was a beautiful day both weather-wise and because it was a day when I got to play.

Even without the more solid scoring, it was a rare pleasure and I count myself as privileged and very grateful!
