Yesterday, a 93 at the always challenging Stonetree. Better than my handicap. Dr. Joe Parent would say that I was under my personal par. A fun 42 on the front 9 with better focus. Remembering “big mind,” I was able to swing with an awareness and freedom that was beyond those interfering thoughts. And I was also able to see beyond the hole while putting. The back 9 had more difficulties. I was not as “in the groove” (including one of those silly episodes where it took me three putts just to get up this crazy hill on the #13 green.) But I played some good holes there too, including a solid par on #10 and three solid shots to reach the very tight #16 in regulation.

The lesson that I’m carrying forward is to keep remembering “big mind” and to continue learning to swing from there.

Progress is happening. One conscious stroke at a time.
